Cajun cooking a la Pelican is on the menu in Boston tonight. Celtics vs Pelicans in a showdown of two top tier teams.

No Marcus or Rob the Lob tonight, let's watch as the rest of the team steps up!

 1st Quarter ☘️

Celtics D starts in man to man! C's start on offense with a nothing but net Al three! Need to see a concerted effort on D tonight. This Pelicans team is very well coached and play their butts off. It's going to be a dog fight tonight!

JB hits his patented jumper, I would love to see him attack the rim tonight. It would also be nice to see him pass the rock with confidence in the flow of the offense. He needs to limit his turnovers, just slow down and take your time. Show us those skills but in a very controlled manner. So far I love his defense tonight.

JT almost had a rim rocking DUNK, that would have blown the doors off the roof. What's amazing about JT is his ability to pass the ball with such skill. He sees the floor at a top tier level, almost Larry Birdesque! Tonight is going to take an all around performance by him especially missing Marcus and Rob. I feel a very special JT game coming on.

After three straight missed threes, JB grabs the rock and gets to the hoop! Great job in the offensive glass though. That's the kind of hustle we like to C! Celtics playing some excellent team defense to stifle the Pelicans. They seem LOCKED in tonight! CJ McCollum is going to be tough to keep quiet tonight.

Absolutely beautiful passing started by JB to Al which leads to a wide open three for DWhite! Al Horford is having himself quite the first quarter! He's hitting threes, getting in the post and passing with efficiency!

PP for THREEEEEEEEE!!! What a pass by Luke which leads to a JT HAMMER JAM! C's lead by three after one. It's 35-32.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

Tatum to Kornet for the alley OOP! I totally love seeing JT accepting the challenge of guarding JV, that's one big dude! Tatum's willingness to guard anyone and everyone truly makes me happy as a fan! Kornet with a sweet block! Leads to a fast break layup! Kornet showing why he's deserving of minutes tomorrow in Brooklyn.

C's have hit a bit of a lull, JT almost fixes that with a nice crossover and layup. Too bad it didn't fall, Pelicans are creeping back in the game. This freaking team is relentless. C's are matching that but have missed some shots here in the second.

Great job by JT getting in the post and drawing the foul. He should live in the post! MB gets downhill and scores in the paint! The way MB has played this year, he deserves consideration as sixth man of the year. His ability to get into the paint has been pretty spectacular this season. That will play a big role come playoffs.

Love seeing JB gets the offensive rebound! What help by JB on D! He's executing what I wanted to see from him tonight! Love the way he's playing tonight! He's on an all star level that's for sure! Hey Wyc pay the man and lock him up!

Awesome job by DWhite forcing Hayes into an offensive foul! JT attacks and finds his way to the line. Smart play by JT as the C's needed a good offensive possession. The C's are now in the bonus! JB with the shake and bake fall away!

JB to the hoop! He's a locomotive getting to the rim! JB has a double double already! Will we see a possible triple double?! The way Scal drools over other teams players makes me want to hurl. Celtics lead 64-58.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Great post up by JB to start things off here in the third. C's are bricking up threes like it's the in thing to do! Time to attack the paint, and draw some fouls. JB D's up CJ and forces him into a miss.

Celtics suck lately in third quarter play. No energy and no fire. Who is going to be that guy that gets us going?! JT, JB, anyone else  want to do so?! Why do Cs play so stagnant?!

MB comes in the game and finds Al for THREEEEEEEEE!!! That's the ball movement we need to see! MB for Threeeeeeeee!!! What a fall away for MB as well! Love the way he plays the game of basketball! JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! C's are starting to get a good lather going. Time to put some distance between you and the Pels!

C's need to get either JB or JT to guard CJ, with their length he's going to have issues. Dude is balling but he can be stopped! If not the Pels could steal this game. JB for the first time tonight, over dribbles. JB just MUSCLES his way into the lane for the deuce!

JB has put together quite a nice game for himself tonight! Will that mean tomorrow night we get to see a big game from JT? Maybe JT and JB! Personally I hope we kick the Nets butt up and down the floor tomorrow night!

Mike just said there's no more cutting in the games anymore. Which writer do I know that said cutting is underrated in today's game?! Oh yes that was the Celtic Knight yours truly! Cut to the damn hoop guys!

JB just hit a three from Boylston Street! Celtics lead after the third 97-85.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

MB just put his defender in the wash cycle and scores off the glass! MB for threeeeeeeee! DWhite sucked the D in as he cut which opened it up for JT to find MB for the shot! Using cutting as a deceptive measure is a pretty darn good idea!

JT is silky smooth when it comes to getting to the rim! It's almost effortless! It just happens so naturally! Man oh man do I love how JT has matured through these years. He's absolutely incredible out there!

PP seems to be a bit wreckless out there tonight. I think he's pressing, to make an impact. From what I see he's trying to prove why he deserves minutes. Just let the game come to you naturally.

As we watch these two teams tonight, it's possible that this could be a Finals preview. Wait till the Pels get back Zion and Ingram. That would be an exciting series for sure!

GWill with the fake handoff and gets to the rack! He seems like a different player this season. Playing like a young man who wants a fair contract extension. Let's get that deal done Brad!

JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!!! He's looking at a 40 spot coming up! Get him the ball! Damn he misses his patented fall away. He wanted that one! So did I! JT gets JB the ball and we get that 40 spot! It was a pure nothing but net score! What a game for JB tonight! All Star! Did JT just hit thirty plus! Yes he did!

Celtics win 125-114.

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green!

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S
