Time to payback an earlier loss as the Clippers visit the Garden

Last game of the Garden in the year 2022, let's finish this year strong!

 1st Quarter ☘️

C's win the tip, and the revenge game is on! What an incredible pass by Marcus but Al can't finish. C's are cold at the start, what a shock! No not really, this seems to be the norm lately.

C's are allowing the Clippers to dictate the pace of the game right now. C's finally take the reigns and run in transition for the deuce. Some very excellent passing and cutting leads to a nice score!

JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! That should be the start of multiple points scored tonight. Celtics D needs to toughen up, JT gets to the rack and jams it home! DWhite going trying to the basket! Sending Reggie Jackson to the floor in the process!

Clippers are destroying the C's on the glass right now. That's gonna need to change if we want to win this one. Where is Rob gets em in there and those numbers will change!

Marcus pushes the pace and finds JB for the dunk! Give me more of that! I just saw the weakest foul call of all time. JB barely touches Leonard, and they blow the whistle. Come on now! Hauser just earned a Tommy point by diving on the ground to earn the C's another possession.

Marcus is having a field day getting to the rack! The Clippers have no answer for the Wolverine! Some incredible ball movement on that last possession which leads to an Al corner three! Such beautiful basketball on that last play!

We get some PP tonight! I love this kid and feel he has something to offer this team. RWill with the offensive rebound and JT delivers with a THREEEEEEEEE!!! C's force the Clippers into a shot clock violation! Great D on that last possession! Celtics lead after one 27-26.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

DWhite with some excellent D, blocking John Wall and then throwing the ball off him while he was out of bounds! Talk about getting me pumped seeing that kind of D!

JT with the sweet pull-up that finds it's way into the cup! When JT leads this second unit it flows pretty damn well. DWhite for three!!!! Nice to see my guy DWhite locked in!

C's D forces the Clippers into a bad shot, keep this energy on D fellas! Defense wins championships! Yet another pin point passing clinic by the C's leads to a three by Marcus!

Another flop by the Clippers leads to a JB offensive foul. Come on now with that weak foul called. JB gets some revenge and gets to the line for an And One! Keep taking the ball to the defense and good things will occur.

JT just took Norman Powell through the wash cycle and draws the foul. JB with a HAMMER DUNK! The crowd is going nuts! JB just hung in the air for what seems like forever and scores! JT to the hoop, both Jays are making this Clipper D look inferior. Celtics lead at the half 60-49.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

C's D has five blocks tonight! That's a stat you want to be leading in for sure. Al nails the three of the screen and pop. C's are a bit three happy right now. Let's see if they can settle and start attacking the rim. C's run the break off the turnover and JB scores!

Smart continues to attack the rim, getting an easy bucket off the glass. Celtics D has allowed the Clippers back in to the game. A much needed timeout by Coach Stoudamire.

C's lead has vanished just like my hairline. Time to get RWill in the game, need his size and energy. Just like that we are now trailing. Marcus Smart changes that with a nothing but net THREEEEEEEE!!!!

What freaking hustle by the C's on the glass and then by GWill diving on the floor! It leads to a rainbow three by Sam I Am! Al Horford with the quick hands forces Morris into a turnover.

DWhite for three!!!! Great ball movement! JT gets to the rim, for the AND ONE! LETS GOOOOOOOOOO! JT has come to play! Celtics trail 85-84.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

JB with a silky smooth fade away! What a look by JB getting the rock to RWill for the deuce. JB hangs and goes off glass for the score! JB is on another level this season! Give the man his due!

RWill goes off the dribble and gets to the line. RWill with a huge jam! RWill has changed the way this game is being played. The energy has shifted by his presence and play!

JB is unreal, getting to the rim yet again! C's force a travel by playing aggressive D! DWhite is playing like the guy we all love! JB gets to the hoop again! His ability getting to the cup is second to none. As I said earlier give this stud some love!

It's clear as day to me that the JAYs are the best duo in the league! In a seven game series there is no way you are stopping those two! Boy do I just love them!

The game is super tight right now. C's hold a slim three point lead. C's are grinding it out tonight. DWhite goes off the glass for the deuce and finishes with the ANd One!

DWhite finds GWill for THREEEEEEEEE!!! C's have built the lead to ten! Time to close it out!

C's look like my old Saturn barely making it up a hill towards the end of it's run. They are sputtering right now, can we just play Celtics ball and close this out!?! Smart heads to the line, and he's pure as Dove soap. DWhite with a HUGE block! Sending Paul George's weak a.. shot out! Celtics win 116-110!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! Let's Go!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S
