A late night in the desert as the Celtics look to block the Sun's!

1st Quarter ☘️

Time for Marcus Smart to show CP3 why he should have stayed on the bench. I've got an uneasy feeling seeing Tony Brothers reffing tonight. C's are cold so far tonight. Spoke too soon as GWill nails a three! Follows it up with a nice drive using his body.

C's are starting to push the pace! This is what you need to do! If the C's can keep this pace moving, I think they can run the Sun's off the court.

Blake Griffin for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Love what Blake has been giving us lately. He's like multi seasoning you use cooking on the grill. He can rebound, pass, set quality screens, and enjoys playing D!

Luke Kornet with the Tommy point right there diving on the floor! JT just schooled Booker! Making him look inferior out there! Who's the top dawg??? It's Jayson freaking Tatum!

This Celtics second unit is bringing it to the Sun's, being led by JT. Celtics lead after one 31-21.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

JT with the step back THREEEEEEEEE!!! JT with a fade away in the post, nothing but net! He seems dialed in tonight, which is trouble for the Sun's. C's are crashing the boards tonight! JT finishes the play with a pretty lefty off the glass!

MB is the soul man, he's super smooth out here tonight. MB has become one of my favorite players on this year's team! What a trade by Brad!

DWhite has been off tonight, but keeps hustling! Grabs the follow up dunk off the miss! Comes back the next play and finds GWill for the wide-open three!!! When your shot is off, it's all about grinding and finding your way. DWhite is making his presence felt, forcing CP3 into the offensive foul. DWhite for THREEEEEEEEE!!!

Celtics D has been very active tonight, which has lead to plenty of transition points! These Celtics are lighting it up, this is what you want against the top team in the West. Show em they don't have a shot against us! Don't take your foot off the pedal guys, finish this half strong!

JB just punked the Suns showing his upper body strength, as he got the and one! JB is looking like a man on a mission tonight! He's making Booker look silly out there tonight! Blake Griffin is earning the C's multiple extra possessions! Love his fire and hustle! Celtics lead 69-42 at the half!

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Time to break out the shovels and bury the Suns! If the Celtics can come out and clamp down-its gonna be over! Blake Griffin for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Devin Booker has no ability to stop either of the Jays! The Jays are SUPER STAR STUDS! While Booker is just a burnt out light bulb!

Give me the C's over the Suns any day, any night! Jayson Tatum has taken that shovel and is setting the Suns in darkness! The C's are on another level tonight!

What an incredible lefty pass by JB to JT! Absolutely gorgeous! Unlike this Suns team which is playing ugly basketball. Back to back steals by the Wolverine making Chris Paul look ancient out there.

JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! He's been en Fuego tonight! This Celtics team is not only playing great offense but their defense has been stout! If the C's finish off this quarter strong, it's Gino Time on the road!

These refs are starting to muck up the game. Stop it please! Let the game play out on its own. Celtics lead after three 104-65. Yes that's the correct score!

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Talk about putting your foot on the Suns throat tonight. The defense has been suffocating at times and the Suns spirits have been broken. Offensively the C's have been led by the Jays but everyone is contributing!

Haus Money has cooled down a bit lately. These are the times you need to find your shot. Love everything he gives you out there. He's more than just a shooter. He must have heard me because he just nailed a threeeeeeeee!!!

Luke Kornet has been active on D, forcing multiple turnovers. He's been a good piece this season, I honestly didn't see it coming.

PP is in and nails a threeeeeeeee!!! I love PP, he's always ready to compete. DWhite is out there with the bench unit, would be nice for him to find his shot again. His passing has been good tonight. Finding Kornet for the easy deuce!

Is that a let's go Celtics chants?! Oh yes it is! LETS GO CELTICS!

It feels like Gino Time!

,Celtics win 125-98. Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
