Will the Celtics bring the Thunder and Lightening as they welcome OKC to the Garden

JB is back and so is Amazing Al! No Brogdon which I'm cool with making sure he stays healthy.

 1st Quarter ☘️

Marcus Smart has become an assist machine! He's seeing the floor so well lately. Talk about a guy who has improved at his craft. He has the heart of a Wolverine on D!

C's are shooting way too many threes and need to start going to the cup. That is why they are trailing early to the Thunder. Good timeout here by Joe, he needs to blast this team and tell them it's time to wake up. Ramp up the energy fellas come on now!

C's come out of the timeout with fire, the way this team passes is second to none. It's so crisp and efficient they are always looking for the best shot possible. Now if the defense was as locked in, they would never lose!

C's are chipping away at the Thunders early lead. Defense has been the key, to getting them back in the game. OKC is playing above their heads right now. Celtics trail after one 35-32.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

Time to grab and lead and never look back! Hauser has a very smooth shot, and it shows when he's hitting nothing but net. C's are still allowing the Thunder to stay in this game. When is enough, enough?! Play some D, this is unacceptable! The D is letting OKC do whatever they want.

These refs tonight are absolutely HORRIBLE! The whistle is one sided right now, and the C's can't find any flow because of it. They still have six minutes left, so a run needs to happen.

Strong drive by JT, using that strength for two! Followed by Al taking Pocheski to the shed! Saying you better put on some muscle young man! JB to JT for the one handed HAMMER! Lets GOOOOOOOOOO! C's have cut the lead to five, need to keep running in transition and make OKC work on D.

GWill is becoming Mr Automatic from deep! C's still trail even after a steal and lay in by JB. This D sucks tonight, they better wake up after halftime and actually come to play. C's trail 69-62.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Time to wake up! Finally a play with some heart, thank you Marcus. Smart is doing what's needed getting into the paint.

Hey Scal, stop with the fake outrage, nobody watching the broadcast believes it. A rainbow fade away for JT, that was a pretty shot. Yet the C's trail by twelve, there are some games you just don't have it. That's what it feels like right now. At least we deserve to see a run to make the game interesting.

Nice steal by the C's and it leads to a nice drive by JB. C's can't hit anything right now. What a lackluster effort tonight, getting their jock handed to them. Sometimes you need to be hit in the mouth, to finally wake up.

PP coming up with two HUGE play! A Three and a hustle steal and deuce!

Celtics trail 96-89. Let's hope they have a run in them coming up.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

It's time for some 4th quarter magic. C's have cut the lead to five. C's D has played very will this quarter. That's how you win games like this by playing hardcore D!

No MORE THREES! Marcus Smart doing SMART things! JT with the THUNDER JAM! Here we go! All tied up, let's finish this game STRONG!

C's hold onto a slim one point lead, can the D win them this game?! These refs are absolutely HORRIBLE!

Big time shots by Marcus and DWhite! Marcus has been huge this quarter!

Despite not having it for almost three quarters this team didn't give up!

PS if this was last year early on, we probably lose.

Celtics win 127-122

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
