The Boston Celtics in the past have been known for not taking care of the ball. But thus far this season, their number, as a team, looks good.
The Green rank 8th in the NBA with 13.9 turnovers per game. That is noteworthy.
Now to assist-to-turnovers ratios for the Celtics players. Sam Hauser gets the team award for fewest turnovers per assist (ranked #11 League-wise), but we can't count that because he only averages 0.6 assists per game and a mere 0.1 turnovers.
Derrick White is ranked 23rd with a ratio of 4.5 assists/turnover, followed by Marcus Smart at 3.88. Now to the bottom of the list for Boston.
Jaylen Brown comes in at #302. He is averaging 2.8 assists and 3.2 turnovers - thus his ratio is less than 1.0 - actually at 0.88. He has more turnovers than assists.
Told you this would be brief. There it is. Make of it what you wish!
