Motown comes to the Garden as the Celtics welcome the Pistons

The Motor City enters Boston for an evening of basketball.

Keys to tonight's game

1. DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE!

2. Get to the basket, and run them off the floor. Attack! Attack! Attack!

3. Don't allow them to hang around, from the jump go out there and dominate.

 1st Quarter ☘️

Anyone else want to see an easy win tonight?! I know I do! JT with a sensational move to start off, followed by Al telling Bey I'm your daddy! Flex for us Al! We should be able to exploit the Pistons down low with Al.

We see excellent ball movement initiated by Marcus drawing the D, which leads to a JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Marcus must be studying Mr Smooth Malcolm Brogdon. When the C's move that ball, no one can stop them. Passing in basketball can be very beautiful to watch. It's an art within the painting that is basketball.

It would be nice to see the C's inflict suffocating D on the Pistons tonight. We witnessed that in spurts vs the Grizz. Especially in the 4th against Ja. Downtown Jaylen Brown drains a nothing but net THREEEEEEEE!!!

What a spectacular pass off the rebound by Mr Smooth getting the rock to Al! Mr Smooth with a lighting like drive for two! Is there anything he doesn't do well?!

I'm liking the defensive intensity tonight! Let's hope they can keep it up! Celtics lead the Pistons 29-21.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

DWhite is now coming off the bench, I don't dislike it. He adds a little bit of everything off the bench. Defensively he's stout and on offense he can score when needed. He also has the ability to run the point, and can make some pretty good passes.

C's are once again allowing an inferior team to hang around. Time to hit em with some knock out punches! I keep waiting for this team to become dominant. If they can play a full 48 minutes, they can be that team.

The Pistons are killing us with points off of turnovers. I'll say this the Pistons give a lot of effort out there. Despite their record they are here to play.

C's have missed way too many free throws for my liking. Need to see them go on a run to finish off this quarter. C's have a ten point lead, let's double it up! OH MY DUNKNESS! JB BRINGS THE HOUSE DOWN! Did Scal just say how good the refs are?!? Tommy is screaming from the heavens saying he strongly disagrees! As do I! Celtics lead 63-49.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

We won't be seeing Mr Smooth as he's dealing with hamstring tightness. That's a tough loss for tonight, but let's keep him healthy.

JT with a few quick baskets, is this going to be his breakout quarter?! I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes! Just like that another threeeeeeeee! Guess what he did it again! Bing Bang Boom! When you can turn it on like he is, you know he's on that Super Star level.

The C's are shooting a few too many threes, yes they may be going down but let's not rely on them. Continue to push the pace, and get open shots. The more they can take it to the hoop, the more the refs will blow that whistle.

This kid Ivey is everywhere, he's poison to the C's D.

JB not to be out done, gets a few back to back scores. He's another guy who is learning how to turn it on at will. Once he and JT know they can attain that super power they will be unstoppable!

Dare I say that Payton Pritchard is in the game?! Nice to see him out there, he always gives 110 percent when he's out there. Not sure why he hasn't been playing much, but the kid is good.

Sam I Am is lighting it up once again! C's lead 95-79.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

C's seem to have a comfortable lead, JT with a great pass to PP! NBA action- you gotta love it!

JT with the fall away, that was a thing of beauty! If that keeps getting used and developed, watch out! These pesky Pistons will not go away. Kudos to Dwayne Casey for getting the most out of them.

Sam I am can light it up from the arc but his defense sure needs work. Teams are going to start attacking him regularly on the other end.

The Wolverine with the absolute epic Tommy point hustle play, that turned into a pass ending with a JT HAMMER DUNK!

It's getting closer and closer to Geno time!

A little over five minutes left and we have a true empty the bench lineup out there. Works for me so the starters can rest up for Friday nights challenge vs the Nuggets.

It's the Sam I Am Hauser hour right now! He's just set a career high in points! Nerlens Noel is still in the league?! Didn't even realize he was with the Pistons. Celtics win 128-112!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
