Malcolm Brogdon: The game closer Celtics desperately needed

I never thought the Boston Celtics had any shot at adding Malcolm Brogdon to the roster, but here he is - in Beantown. He is the crafty, steadying influence who can be relied on to close games.

Boston beat the Bulls, 123-119 but once again relied too heavily on 3-pointers. As a team, they took 31 shots from behind the arc, making only nine of them, which computes to a lousy 29% accuracy. The shot chart is below:

How about Brogdon? He took ZERO shots from 3-point range but was 9-of-10 from the field. Take a look at his shot chart below:

Much like Paul Pierce, Malcolm doesn't possess superior athleticism or quickness, but he uses his craftiness to work his way into the paint to finish at the hoop or dish off to a teammate.

Brogdon was on the floor for game-closing time, along with Marcus Smart, Al Horford, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Fans can expect to see that same quintet for most game-ending situations, particularly come playoff time. Malcolm Brogdon appears to be a vital addition in Boston's quest for Banner 18.

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
