Knights KNotes Preseason Game 2

 1st Quarter ☘️

Nice seeing JT crashing the boards, it's going to take a team effort on the boards especially without RWill. Way too many threes being put up right now. Let's keep that ball movement hopping and get better shots! Toronto is enforcing their will right now on the offensive end. After a much needed timeout the C's have come out refocused and getting better looks. JTs passing hasn't missed a beat finding JB for three! Followed up by driving to the rack using that stout body of his!

Malcolm Brogdon is a true joy to watch, he is able to get into the teeth of the D, he has the ability to drive but dishes to JB. That was something they were lacking especially in the finals. Keep him healthy because he's a heck of a player, and a key cog to winning Banner 18. Celtics with a 27-22 lead to end the quarter.

2nd Quarter ☘️ 🍀

Noah Vonleh is getting some early run tonight, he was a highly touted prospect when he came out in the draft. Hopefully he can find a spot with this team and be a serviceable back up big. The Celtics defense has picked up, they are quick on their feet and beating Toronto to the spots they want. Defense will be the Celtics calling card, and we all know D wins championships.

Sam Hauser has come out en Fuego! His stroke almost looks flawless out there. Talk about having a weapon in the arsenal! If he's consistent like this, our offense just took a huge step at being impossible to guard. Still need to see him do it in the regular season, but my gut says he's ready to prove he can.

The way the Celtics move the ball on offense is going to be a problem for other teams to defend. Teams will have to pick their poison when defending us. We have such good ball handlers, and each guy is willing to make that extra pass. These guys are already exemplifying what a team looks like. Celtics lead the Raptors 62-46 at the half!

3rd Quarter ☘️ ☘️🍀

The way the Celtics take advantage in transition is a thing of beauty! Tommy always preached to run, when they do it's absolute gold. Watching JT drive to the hoop is something we all deserve to see as fans throughout the entire year! He's quick, long, and strong! Rise up JT and get to the cup! Celtics D seems a little lax right now, but expect Coach Mazzulla to get in their ear!

Coach Mazzulla to me seems very comfortable right now and that's a good sign. The Celtics as a whole are able to get in the paint at will. Whether it's in transition, or off a well designed play. Anyone else enjoy when JT takes on that point forward role?! I sure do, kids got a knack for getting the rock where it needs to be! It will take more work but he could be Bird like as a passer.

Congrats to former Celtic Adrian Griffin on getting his PHD! Always loved Griff as a Celtic. Al Horford just doesn't age huh, he looks great out there on the floor doing all the little things a great team needs done to win. It seems as Toronto is ready to mail it in tonight as the Celtics impose their will, putting them and the NBA on notice. Celtics are not messing around this season. Celtics with the lead at the end of the third 90-72.

4th Quarter ☘️☘️🍀🍀

Celtics assist numbers to this point are something we can all applaud, the mark of a great team is one that moves the ball. I'm truly enjoying watching MB facilitate, and he's only played two games for the C's! The Raptors have decided to make a run, Celtics D needs to tighten up and shut them down! A much needed time out by Coach Mazzulla.

Celtics have begun emptying the bench, let's see what Kabengele has to offer. He's working hard out there, and has a high motor. PP is carrying this group right now on the offensive end, getting to the rim and finding Kabengele for the deuce! Raptors have slowly chipped away and now own the lead. Lessons to be learned when you lose a lead no matter if it's preseason or not.

Hauser gets the deuce with the and one to grab the lead back for the C's. Kid can do more than just hit threes! He may play an even bigger role than expected for the C's this year. Mark my words, Sam I Am Hauser will end up hitting huge shots in the post season. End of the fourth and we are heading to OT all tied up at 110.

Overtime 🍀☘️🍀☘️🍀

Sam I Am with a nice drive to the rim to get things going for the C's. Once again he is showing that he can do more than just shoot the three. If he develops an all around game, he will be very special this season.

Celtics lose in OT, but show how good they can be. I fully expect them to be the best team in the East.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
