Must Win

An early ten point deficit in the first set me aback. These Celtics didn't stop or give up. They stayed true to Imes game plan and have found their way into the lead. Keep the ball moving and keep grinding the Heat. JB is making amends for his poor performance last game. Nice to see Al and Marcus the Wolverine Smart back. Celtics finish strong to end the first.

Celtics have come out firing and moving the ball beautifully. When the ball is zipping it's an amazing thing to watch. With that said the Celtics can't let their foot off the gas pedal. Grind them into the ground. The D looks much improved as well from last game. RWill with a huge athletic follow going for an and 1! Anyone else enjoying not hearing the Miami fans?!

PP has no fear and I love it! PP with a pass to JT for the HAMMER! The D is every where right now I adore Defense! Refs as always are shoddy, the Celtics are contesting almost every shot and pass! Marcus Smart is making Butler look pedestrian. Keep it Going!!!! JT with an And 1 in Tuckers grill! In Yo Face! Glad to see the Celtics not letting refs calls get to them.

Tatum, Brown and this whole group are cooking! This is who we are as a team! Put your foot on their throat and suffocate them! Finish this quarter off strong! Build the lead, and get your rest at half, then for everything good, have a great third quarter! What a great blitz trap to force bubble boy into a turnover! Celtics are finishing this half well, keep grinding! GWill bodying Tucker is spectacular!

Marcus Smart with a heck of an And 1! Celtics are coming out with a plan to keep this lead and executing their game plan. The Wolverine for three!!!! The Celtics D continues to swarm the Heat! Keep it up fellas, offensively it's getting sloppy, good time out by Ime. Let's see that ball movement, come on guys. Nice drive by JT getting a foul going to the rim. That's what you need to do! Still a little shaky on O tho.

Can we please finish the third quarter off better! I guess every team makes a run. Just settle things down play D and finish this quarter. Celtics lead by 19 but need to keep pushing this lead. Nice steal and GWill getting the foul called on the Heat. JT with a great find for a Wolverine three! Let's Go! How great is it hearing the Celtics fans at the end of the third!

As we enter the 4th its a 25 point lead! What do we want to see, continue running and moving the rock, and keep grinding them on D! Let's send the rest of these fair weather Miami fans home! Nice seeing JB getting to the rack so easily, and a step back Wolverine three and the lead is 30! Have the Heat thrown in the towel? Anyone else get excited when they show commercials for the Obi Wan series?

Time to empty the bench for the C's. No need for injuries, get out of Miami healthy. Great win for the Celtics tonight, I hope the Garden crowd is amped up and lit up Sat night. Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S
