The Boston Celtics have a major decision coming up on the question of Al Horford and the $28.5 million owed to him next season. Only $14.5 million of that larger figure is guaranteed, and Brad Stevens has to decide whether Al stays or goes.
Horford is producing career lows in points (10.1 PPG), field goal percentage (.449) and 3-point accuracy (.303). Yet he remains a starter on a team on a roll the past two months.
With Al now heading to 36 years of age, Ime Udoka is restricting the 6'9" center/forward's minutes this season in preparation for the playoffs. And despite a few career-lows, the Florida product continues to be a very-important cog in a Celtics machine that is fast becoming "the team no one wants to play".
The rest of the regular season and playoffs may decide the future of Al Horford. Stevens favors players with high character, and Al checks that box with authority. Does Brad Stevens sign Al Horford for next season or let him go? What think you?https://t.co/EHWOxTXOeg
