Celtics engine at high RPMs in Motor City, beating Pistons 102-93

      1st Quarter

Celtics coming out hot, they seem to be making an effort to get JB started early. We need to see more of The Wolverine driving to the hoop! Need to continue to push the pace and bury the Pistons early. They have some decent players but are no where near the Celtics. As I've always said you need to destroy teams below you.

JRich and GWill the first two off the bench, I feel that's a recipe for success. Both players offer positives out there. JRich can go off when needed, and his D is contagious. GWill has become deadly from the corners, and he makes very heady basketball plays.

     2nd Quarter

Is it me or is it time to explore trading Romeo Langford? He's hurt way to often, and honestly this may be his lot as an NBA player. Lots of potential, but he may never meet it. Celtics have come out really well this quarter, extending their lead vs the Pistons. Talk about an organization who has lost their way.

Stagnant offense right now, get it going guys. Ime needs to learn to call timeouts when his team needs coaching and guidance when your offense isn't clicking. Need to see some, better ball movement, and cleaner offensive sets. With that said we get RWill off a nice pass from Smart. JT seems to be off right now, let's get him posting up and driving to the rack.

     3rd Quarter

Defensively loving where the Celtics are, need to see the offense follow suit. Nice to see the Wolverine crash the boards! Then on the next play driving to the hoop using his body for two! Love it! JT deserves praise for making the extra pass, a sign of his game evolving.

JT brings the THUNDER! Love seeing him man up and bring to the cup with authority! With his shot being off, going to the hoop is the place to be! Still not feeling that comfortable with the lead. If they can build it up to 20 by the end of the quarter would be ideal. JT with another EMPHATIC DUNK! Tatum with 19 in the quarter!

     4th Quarter

Time to nail down this win tonight, let's see if they can accomplish it. Is Romeo out there to showcase to a team looking for his skill set? Like a few guys from his draft class it seems like he's getting closer to his final season as a Celtic? Some of Danny's past drafts totally face planted with some of these picks over the years. Love ya Danny regardless.

Are Nesmith and Pritchard still part of this team?! Two guys who showed last season they could play barely see the floor. A few guys need to be dealt to open up minutes for these two gents. Right now they are being buried on the bench, when I feel they both could be assets on this team. Gotta love Grande tonight, being honest with his assessment of the season up to this point.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
