Philly Special, Another Celtics Win?

Will the Celtics handle the Sixers and show them we are for real! They damn well better! Keep the win streak rolling!

     1st Quarter

Celtics coming out hot, a nice 7-0 run to start up tonight. So far the ball is moving nicely for the guys in White with Green trim. Need to continue with the tight D, show these Sixers that defensively we are a machine. If you can hold Embid and this Sixers team down, ain't no one gonna want to face us.

Daniel Theis has made it back onto the court as a Celtic! A sight for sore eyes if you ask me. What a fast break, Marcus the Wolverine Smart getting down for two! I could hear Tommy Heinsohn saying RUN, as he went to the hoop. For all the struggles this season, watching this team tonight shows that hard work and sticking together is paying off.

Refs are trying to get Philly back into the game with some poor calls. TNT broadcasts suck lately. We have no audio are you serious?! You make all this money as a company and I can't get play by play.

     2nd Quarter

Nice to see PP getting some run, Nesmith as well. Both kids proved last season when given some run they can play really well. Now is there time and opportunity to show they can be nice pieces of this roster. Love to see how the Celtics are crashing the boards tonight.

Have I said how amazing it is to have a team that's defined by Defense! Especially in today's NBA that thrives on threes and way to many floppers. Celtics hold a 19 point as we speak, lead by their D, crashing the boards, and pretty decent offense. The key here at this point in the game is to hold that lead or increase it. Do Not Give the Sixers any Hope! Keep your foot on the gas and run all over them. Let's keep those Philly fans silent.

     3rd Quarter

Let's see the same aggression on both ends as we enter this third. DESTROY the Sixers, let them know you are gunning for them and it's go time! Celtics are raining threes to increase their lead! Absolutely crushing them right now! Gotta love it, especially since it's against the Sixers. The Derrick White trade may go down as one of those trades that you never forget. He has the skills and traits needed to help this team reach their goals!

As we currently speak the Celtics are up 80-46! This is against a good NBA opponent, keep it rolling! I come across Boston sports media and they are either in on this team or they have their heads up their butts! Where do our readers stand? Are you believing that this team can achieve true success this season?! Or are they just another average eastern conference team that may or may not win a playoff series. I'll give you my two cents, this team can win the East, anytime you play D like they are right now is a recipe for success.

     4th Quarter

Sixers uniforms tonight, kinda suck. There are way to many alternative uniforms in the NBA. It all relates to making money and I understand that. Sometimes they just shouldn't be worn on court. Ultimately the uniforms match how ugly the Sixers are playing tonight. Thanks in large part to the Celtics killer D! Keep em down and out!

What we saw tonight is a warning to the rest of the league. The Celtics D and team are for REAL! It doesn't matter who we face in the playoffs that team will not be happy at all. We are coming for a knock down, fist fight! The East is wide open and each of the teams ahead of the Celtics in the standings are beatable. This Celtics teams mindset should be We Must Break You! Defensively they will break the competition!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
