Indiana Comes To Town, Easy Win or Catastrophic loss

Anytime we play Indiana how can you not think about the greatest player to ever come out of that state. Larry Joe Bird! How about that 75th anniversary moment from the Celtics where Bird hit his face off the Garden Floor, not gonna lie at a young age I got choked up seeing him come back out and doing what he did! EPIC!

     1st Quarter

Attack and off glass, that's the way you start the game JB! Driving and gliding, JT getting to the rack for the call. Out of the two stars, we see good offensive decisions. If Celtics fans learned patience, they would see both big dawgs are growing and maturing in their games. Still not big on Imes offensive sets, as I watch both Jays drinking their coffee in the corners. Where's the motion and movement?!

RWill aka Mr All Out Hustle, saving yet another possession for the Celtics this season. There should be a stat for that, and he would be leading that category. Curious though about how many of the possessions he's saved, did they result in points?! This has to be said. RWill fits alongside the Jays.

     2nd Quarter

Let FREEDOM Ring, from the end of the first and now here in the second, we are seeing what Enes is capable of. His skill set can be used to take advantage of other teams weaknesses or even attack their strength.. We forget that this dude can ball when necessary, he did it in OKC and Portland.

Random thoughts, how great is it that the Celtics have come out and said we are not trading JB or JT! We are going to build around them! If that's the truth start building Brad! Put your money where your mouth is and give the Jays some high octane talent! One more thought. What is Scal's love affair with LBJ? Mike brings up when Stevenson got in his head and Scal laughed. Hey Scal, put some respect on Mike Gorman's name and when he says something!

     3rd Quarter

Can we get a big run and blow this team away?! For an Indiana team that is horrible on the road they are holding up pretty well so far. The Celtics have missed a vast amount of shots tonight. No excuse the Celtics need to amp up the D and start driving to the cup!

Is it raining in the Garden, because it looks like they are running in mud, they seem very sluggish out there. Time to muster up that inner fight and get it going. Need Ime to set up some screens, and pick and rolls to get the offense going. Get JT and JB going to the hoop! Time to put Indiana away before they get confident and feel they can win.

     4th Quarter

Need some energy in this building, the lack of juice in the Garden and by the players on the floor is depressing. Gotta get the building rocking, show that video of Larry hitting the floor with his face and then coming back to lead the Celtics to victory. It's just so quiet, I can't take it.

What a stat, 2-11 in games decided by five points or less. Not a stat you want to be attached to. Let's hope that changes tonight. This game has no rhythm whatsoever. Tied at 81 with 4 plus minutes to go, gotta close this game out, who's gonna be the closer? JB seems ready to do so. JT with the drive for the go ahead layup! What a game, not in a good way, let's just say it's been ugly. JT ties the game with a sweet pull-up. Now ya gotta play D.

Overtime against a bad Indiana team, here we go.. RWill with a block which lead to a three for GWill. Overall they are playing pretty well in overtime. JB and JT both hit big shots during OT. Can they close it out? Thankfully they did or the writer was gonna lose it. Bleed Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
