Celtics in Summer

Celtics fans did you catch the show put on by Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard the other night during the game or did Romeo's dunk take the cake for you? Will what they did last night translate into actual reality come the NBA season?! Or is this just summer ballin?

Over the years plenty of guys have been summer league standouts, yet they didn't amount to much in the NBA. With Payton and Aaron, it just feels different. Given what they were able to do in limited moments this past season in a very dysfunctional year they both showed they can be NBA players.

Both guys play with no fear! This year is huge for both of them because they can be extremely valuable to new Coach Ime Udoka. They can also show that when on the floor with the Jays they can hold their own and succeed! The rest of these summer games should prove that both of these guys are solid Celtics and if Tommy Heinsohn were still here he'd have given them plenty of Tommy points this season.

One more thought Celtics fans. How are you feeling about the signing of Dennis Schroder? He's a hard nosed defender with a great motor and something to prove. He may have been the scapegoat for the Fakers last season but throughout his career he has proven he can come up big. He always seemed to take it to the Celtics - now imagine him with a guy like Smart hounding the other teams best players on D and causing straight havoc on the defensive end.

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's .
