Brad Stevens won't be ripping the heart out of his team - Marcus Smart stays

Much has been said about Marcus "The Wolverine" Smart over this past season. As Celtics fans, how do we feel? What does Marcus bring to the table.

Since his arrival in Boston, The Oklahoma State product has been the guy who exemplifies what defines a hard nosed, hard working Celtics player. Defensively is where his skill set is best put to use out there. Does he occasionally flop? Yes, but that's because of the soft direction of the NBA. He however makes the key stop when needed. He gets in the heads of the other teams players and also gets Celtics fans fired up.

Offensively his game has grown over the years. Does he shoot too many 3s? Yes he does. However when he distributes and drives to the hoop he is very efficient. His post up game isn't bad at all either. If he can harness his inclination to shoot the long ball and focus on being more of a distributor - watch out! Marcus knows the game very well and he can be used to help this team get to the NBA Finals.

New coach, Ime Udoka, calls Smart a "foundational piece" Every team needs a heart and that is Marcus Smart! If we could infuse some Smart into the Jays they would be unstoppable!

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's .
