I have recently written that red flags remain for the Celtics Rob Williams, He does disappear at times, relies too much on his stellar athleticism and displays a lack of competitiveness that is worrisome. But Williams III says he is ready to make a big jump this year, and he is not referring to his anti-gravity leaps.
"I honestly feel like I’ll make a great jump this year, not only for myself but also for my team. I feel like I’m around great guys to do that, too."

With Rob it's not just about his hops. He has solid skills, finishing at the rim and passing from the top of the key are among them. But his defense needs work. Staying grounded - literally - is a start. He goes for too many fakes and tries to block every shot.
Williams' main issue is his mindset. It wanders. This young man needs mental focus and mental discipline. If he can accomplish that, the red flags that I introduced will be lowered, and his NBA career may just take flight. That would be a huge plus for the Celtics upcoming season.
