The Maine Red Claws have played two games thus far this season and stand at 2-0. Tacko Fall and Tremont Waters are both on two-way contracts and Romeo Langford is signed to a standard deal but is getting some experience and seasoning in the G League.
Waters is the star so far, averaging 22.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG and 5.0 APG, while hitting 44% of his field goals and 42% of his treys. This little guy has NBA skills. Tacko is doing just fine, averaging a double-double of 14.5 PPG and 12.0 RPG. And no surprise, he is blocking 4.5 shots per game. Particularly in the G League, this Green Giant seems unstoppable close to the hoop.
What is a surprise is Langford averaging 3.0 blocks/game, to go along with 13.5 PPG, 2.5 RPG. He is shooting 59% from the field but only 29% from beyond the arc. Romeo remains injury-prone, this time picking up an ankle injury. It just seems he can not avoid the injury bug. Hopefully, a cure comes soon for the rookie.
