Gordon Hayward underwent surgery to repair a fracture to the fourth metacarpal in his left hand yesterday afternoon. He is expected to miss roughly six weeks, projecting his return to sometime around Christmas.
Gordon suffered the injury during Boston's victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. This Celtics team is built to withstand misfortune, but Hayward will be needed for any serious push towards a Championship.
