Point guard Kyle Lowry has been forced to withdraw from USA Basketball due to a nagging thumb injury. With the second phase of training set to start today in Los Angeles, the Celtics Team Shamrock foursome is still on the USAB roster.
Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum seem to have a hold on two of the 15 roster slots. Jaylen Brown will look to rebound from his quiet performance in the first intra-squad scrimmage last week. Marcus Smart is hopefully recovered his the calf-tightness issue and will be back in action.
Accolades to ABS-CBN Sports for listing Marcus in the point guard category, although he certainly would fit other roles in USAB's schemes. Stay with us for this week's developments at USA Basketball training camp.
