Kemba Walker and Myles Turner started the game along with Jayson Tatum, Harrison Barnes and Donovan Mitchell. The contest was never in serious doubt as Team USA led throughout. The final score was 84-68 in favor of Team USA. Jaylen Brown came away with a team-high 19 points in 19 minutes of floor time. Jaylen also tied with Harrison Barnes for plus/minus honors with a +16.

Marcus Smart initiated the action by diving on the floor and coming away with a loose ball and tap-passing it to a teammate while still floor-bound. A fast break ensued, ending in a lob by Kris Middleton to Donovan Mitchell for the slam. The score at the end of the half was 44-31 in favor of the USA.
The play of Brown keeps improving with each exhibition. He shot 8-of-11 from the field in this one, while adding three rebounds and one assist. He hit his shots from everywhere, and his drives to the hoop looked strong and proved effective.
A total of 19 turnovers for the game certainly needs attention by the American crew, but they controlled the boards with 55 rebounds to Canada's 31. Kemba Walker came up with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Jayson Tatum once against was missing his attempts, finishing with six points on 2-of-11 from the field. Marcus Smart didn't score in the contest, finishing with four rebounds and three steals.
We can expect the turnovers by Team USA to decrease as the group gets used to each other. Jaylen is showing great confidence out there, and kemba is going to be a handful for any defender. Marcus was energetic and determined on the floor, and there are no signs of any persistent injury. Jayson? He just needs to find the range and start hitting his shots. I expect it to happen.
