       Below is a picture about how after successful road trips the Cs generally lose that first game back home. And it's not uncommon in the NBA. The great Glenn Ordway had a tweet basically saying this had been common place for years even with past great teams. It's totally understandable that this occurs but it kinda sucks. Why you say because I despise the Heat and wanted the Cs to crush them. Although this is a reminder that the job isn't done and the Cs have work to do. My goodness though the regular season has begun to drag lately. I just want playoff basketball so the Cs can accomplish something special.       I love the fact that Joe, the players and staff are totally pissed with losing. Let's take that energy into the playoffs and not lose a game at all! Cs just need to get into the playoffs healthy. None of these final games really matter at all.  I recall the damage Al Horford did to the Boston Celtics years ago as a member of the Atlanta Hawks . Well now he is doing damage to Boston's opponents - much like he did last night in the Celtics win over Memphis. Al came off the bench - played 37 minutes - scored 26 points - added eight boards - and hit 50% from the field - 46% on treys - and 100% on free throws . At 38 years old, he had a good night. Horford will be 39 years of age next season , and whether or not Boston wins Banner 19 this season, he may have had enough. He will be an unrestricted free agent this off-season, and the decision to return (or not) is in his hands. The ageless veteran is past his prime, but he looks good out there on the court. The Celtics will be looking to get below that dreaded "second apron" , and Horford may agree to take less than the $9.5 million he is due this season.  🍀      Cs will face the Grizz shorthanded yet again. There will be no JB or Luke tonight. It will have to be the next man up motto tonight. We do however get Al and PP back tonight. Let's hope we can get some payback for the game in Boston earlier this season. Cs give up the first basket of the game. Look at X getting the start tonight! Hoping he has a solid game.        Cs offense has been a bit anemic here, right until KP drilled that three. That is his shot and it can't be stopped.  🍀       Cs look to continue their road dominance. This time against Derrick Whites former team the San Antonio Spurs. When watching the Spurs one can't wonder what if Tim Duncan ended up in Boston. That draft lottery was the most brutal of all lotteries. Cs should have gotten the first pick. They actually should have ended up with one and three. Yet they ended up with three and six. Instead of getting Duncan and possibly another high quality player. They ended up taking Chauncey Billups a Hall of Fame caliber player, and Ron Mercer who had a heck of a college career. Still no Duncan set the franchise back. It did however give the Spurs multiple titles and a spot as a top NBA Franchise. Imagine if they had taken Duncan and McGrady?!  Most of the talk surrounding the Boston Celtics lately has been about the cost of once-again being in the "second apron" and the strong possibility that Kristaps Porzingis or Jrue Holiday may be traded this off-season.  I have written previously about Porzingis being a luxury for Joe Mazzulla. The team is potent without him on the floor - but often omnipotent with him. Although Boston has a better record with him on the sidelines than they do when he is active. Kristaps' injury history is certainly a detriment to any trade ideas Brad Stevens may have. Jrue Holiday if 34 years old, and his offense has been a bit of a concern this season. If he ends up being the casualty this summer, can Payton Pritchard take over the starting gig next to Derrick White ? The stats from this season say "Yes" .  The good news is that Celtics superstar, Jayson Tatum, seems to have avoided a serious injury in last night's win over the Sacramento Kings. Tatum landed on the foot of the King's Domantas Sabonis after masking a 3-pointer and rolled his right ankle. It was reported that Jayson left the arena with no crutches or boot, and walked with a slight limp. Sabonis was called for a Flagrant-1 foul on the play. Fans can expect that Tatum will be given ample time to recover in time for post-season play.
