Free Agent Signing

Lonnie Walker averaged 9.7 points and shot 38% on three-pointers in 58 games for the Nets last season. He could be a nice piece off the bench.

Repeat in the cards

I know I'm a homer, but it just feels like the C's will win back to back. All the haters who said they had an easy path... The way team USA slighted JB... The way Steve Kerr disrespected JT... Personally I feel this team has enough motivation to last the entire season. What better way to prove em wrong by winning back to back titles.  Both Jays are still trending upwards with their skill sets. Mentally their basketball minds are growing. Plus they are bringing the entire gang back! Other than Svi and OB. Al is coming back, KP is healing up, and the dynamic duo of DWhite and Jrue are ready to cause havoc in the defensive backcourt. Plus sharp shooters Sam I Am and PP are locked and loaded. I can't wait to see what we get out of X being with this team a full season.  I feel if any coach can maximize this team reaching an even stronger potential it's Joe Mazzulla! He eats, sleeps and dreams basketball. What I admire most about him is his faith. Actually this entire te...

Some facts and surprises about Bob Cousy

Bob "The Cooz" Cousy recently turned 96 , and we will never see another of his like . Here's some interesting facts and thoughts on the 6'1" phenom : 1.) He was the 3rd-overall pick in the 1950 draft , but said "NO" to the team that drafted him (Tri-Cities Blackhawks). 2.) Red Auerbach had the first pick in that draft, but ignored Cooz, thinking he was too flashy . 3.) Cousy was picked up by the Chicago Stags, and when they folded, the Celtics reluctantly hose  Cooz in the dispersal draft. 4.) Well, that turned out very well as Bob turned into the Celtics first real star. 5.) Cousy's forte was his passing skills . He led the League in assists for eight consecutive seasons , finishing with a career average of 7.5 assists per game. 6.) But Cooz was also an accomplished scorer (18.4 PPG for his career), but hardly a marksman (.375 FG). 7.) Despite his lack of height, he was also a fine rebounder (5.2 RPG) . 8.) He was a 13X All-Star, 10X All-NBA Fi...

Steve Kerr Sucks...

Team USA basketball is lucky to have survived playing Serbia. Honestly the refs played a role in that game. Amongst Serbia choking away a big lead. For the second time in these Olympics Coach Kerr sat Jayson Tatum the entire game. Jayson Christopher Tatum is an NBA champion and a top 5 player. Yet Kerr hasn't found a spot for him because he's catering to the elderly stars. Down 17 you can't bring in a bona fide Star! Instead you make up excuses about why you aren't playing him. Personally I'm thankful for the motivation that it will give JT. Not to mention how motivated JB will be by not being put on this team. I hope the USA gets beat by France.  Celtics are going back to back next season! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!  Also Kudos to 96 Year Old Bob Cousy!

Steve Kerr has lied in the past. Is he at it again?

Remember this? Here is Warrior's Coach (and now Team USA Coach) Steve Kerr "apologizing" for lying to the media about his starters for Game-4 of the 2015 NBA Finals: "Sorry, but I don't think they hand you the trophy based on morality," Kerr said. "They give it to you if you win. So sorry about that." Prior to Game-4, Kerr had clearly stated there would be no changes in his starting lineup - and then p roceeded to inject Andre Iguodala into the starting-5 in place of Andrew Bogut . His response to the change (post-game) was: "I lied," he said to the media a few hours after he had, well, lied about who would be in the  Golden State Warriors ' starting lineup for Game 4 of the NBA Finals. After Team USA's win over Serbia - in which 2024 NBA Champion Jayson Tatum never saw the floor (in addition to Tyrese Haliburton) - Kerr blames his own "idiocy" for keeping Tatum out of the game - possibly suggesting it was a misstep ...

Nobody knows Neemias Queta's ceiling, but Brad Stevens wants to find out

After seeing Neemias Queta's dominance in the first two games of Summer League, the Celtics brass had seen enough . The Portuguese import is signed with Boston for the next three seasons at roughly $2.4 million per year. I know some of you are thinking - "It's only Summer League" , but let's flash back to the final 2023-24 regular season game for the Celtics: Neemias Queta made NBA history today... 19 minutes 19 points 9 rebounds 6 blocks No player in NBA history has ever had a 19-9-6 game in fewer than 24 minutes. — Sean Grande (@SeanGrandePBP) April 14, 2024   Am I hearing "Only one game"? Hey, this guy is a double-double machine . His per-36-minutes stats with Boston in 28 games last season show 16.6 PPG, 13.2 RPG and 2.3 BPG. And the more floor time he gets, the better he performs. Queta's pluses are his size (7', 245 lbs.), athleticism, offensive footwork down low, rim protection, rebounding and toughness. On the negative side, he doesn...
