Resilience, Heart, Grit - The Green are my Team

As many of you know I've been given a chance to write for Mr Lane and his blog. It's been quite a ride to this point. Watching and writing about this team has been an escape since my Mom passed and I was in the hospital with what could have been life threatening injuries. Through all of that writing about this team has given me joy more often than not. I can remember being in the hospital watching and writing during one of their games.

Let's talk about last night, first about the Bucks. This team has the heart of a champ and yes while he does get calls and travels a bit Giannis is other worldy on the floor. He's carried this team as the thru greats often do, watch out for a big performance from him on Sunday afternoon. It's been six games of hearts beating fast and plenty of emotions.

Now can we talk about this Celtics TEAM. They are still young yet they are learning to win. They have come to realize that they need to trust in each other and also never stop executing on both ends of the floor. Everyone who entered the game played their part and yes some shots didn't find the net but they will. JB has become someone we can rely on in big moments. Whether he's getting to the rim, hitting a jumper or nailing a three in your face.

JT, can we just say that last night was his Shining Moment in the annuls of Celtics lore. Every super star needs to have that put the team on my back and carry them on the road in a must win situation. He did that and more, he was not tentative and came out punching and didn't stop. This young man and JB are the cornerstones to the ultimate prize. Yes the Bucks are the Champs, but we have the opportunity to send them home and take that next step into glory.

I'm an emotional fan first and foremost, I'm sure you all have seen that in my game posts and even other pieces of my writing. During these playoffs I've just sat back and let myself absorb everything. One thing I can say is boy do I want us to win Sunday afternoon, let this dream continue! Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! C Us Rise! As Marcus says the Celtics are my life! Let's Go!

Nik Stauskas adds "shooting with size" voiced by Brad Stevens

As a 6'6" shooting guard, 28-year-old Nik Stauskas adds that shooting with size sorely needed by the Boston Celtics. Drafted 8th-overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2014, Stauskas has bounced around to various teams since then. Nik Stauskas' deal with the Boston Celtics includes non-guaranteed salary for the second season in 2022-23, a source tells @celticsblog . — Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) March 4, 2022 Nik has never averaged more than 9.5 points per game in the NBA, but Boston is most likely counting on his production for Grand Rapids in the G League as the incentive to sign him. In 17 games thus far, he has averaged 24.7 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 4.8 APG - while shooting 50% on field goals and 45% on treys. Nik Stauskas is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN.
