Warrior Coach Steve Kerr's description of Larry Bird's play as "almost surreal" just hits it. The video below speaks for itself - the shooting, the fakes, the toughness, the passing, the making of plays that appeared to be impossible. He had the hands and the handles. He had court awareness and what I feel may be the best anticipation of any NBA player ever to be in the NBA. Was he arrogant? You bet! Trash talker? Yup! But he backed it all up. Oh, and the fakes. There are a lot of them in the video. As Steve Kerr wrote, this is mostly for the youngsters that never saw him when he played. Take a look.

To all you young NBA fans out there, please watch these highlights of Larry Bird. It’ll give you a better understanding of just how good and how dominant he was. I grew up a Laker fan and hated the Celtics but I couldnt take my eyes off of Larry. His play was almost surreal. https://t.co/VVWPm2C3YV
